Beginning Thursday, September 25, 2008, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana will unite with New Orleans Kids’ Partnership to host its first 6-week concert series, Harvest the Music.  The goal of the concert is to further build awareness of hunger in South Louisiana and reaffirm the non-profit organization’s mission to lead the fight against hunger year-round.

The highly-anticipated concert series will be held every Thursday in Lafayette Square from 5:00 p.m. -7:30 pm until October 30, 2008.  Featured performers include Edwin McCain with Kevn Kinney, Rebirth Brass Band, Benjy Davis Project, Bonerama, The Radiators, and Bag of Donuts.  

Enjoy food from local favorites and visit the Artist's Village to purchase artwork and crafts from regional vendors.

Entrance to the concert is free and all proceeds from food and drink ticket sales will directly benefit Second Harvest’s efforts to fight hunger and New Orleans Kids’ Partnership.

Concerts are being held every Thursday, September 25th - October 30th from 5:00pm -7:30pm.

Cost?

Harvest the Music is a free concert series fully supported by sponsorships and food and drink sales. Food and drink tickets are available onsite at ticket booths. Please help us to keep this concert series free.

Please, no outside food or drinks.

Parking?

$3 Parking is available at 650 Poydras Street after 4pm.
