Volunteers are at the heart of our mission. There are many different ways to volunteer.

You can help Second Harvest Food Bank by volunteering to assist with:

sorting, boxing and repackaging donated food for distribution

special events
special projects
warehouse assistance
administrative work
gleaning (seasonal)
agency assistance
mobile pantry outreach
 
Volunteer shifts for sorting and packaging food are available year-round:

    Tuesday – Friday:    
    9 am – noon
    1 pm – 4 pm

    Saturday:
    8 am – 11 am
    11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Administrative volunteer shifts are available:

    Monday – Friday:    
    7:30 am – 4 pm
