Public Assistance Call Center Volunteers

This program is a new resource for low-income households across south Louisiana. Our staff and volunteers will answer client calls, provide information on public benefit programs, pre-screen clients for eligibility, and conduct application assistance for a variety of programs including SNAP, Medicaid, Child Care, and Kinship Care. Volunteers will attend an orientation and receive training on program eligibility and application assistance procedures. No previous application assistance training is required. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and should be able to commit to a weekly shift of 3-4 hours for a minimum of 6 weeks.

Spanish speaking volunteers needed as well!
