Second Harvest accepts nearly all types of food, including nonperishable items and fresh produce. Due to safety & the volume of donations, we prefer non-glass containers. When collecting food for your drive, please also consider nutritional food items that are low in sodium/salt and sugar. 

Where to donate: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., New Orleans-area donations can be dropped off at 700 Edwards Avenue in the Elmwood/Harahan area, 70123. Lafayette-area donations can be brought to 215 E Pinhook Rd, 70501.

Where can I drop off my food donation?

We accept donations from 7:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at two locations: 700 Edwards Avenue in the Elmwood Warehouse District, or at our Lafayette location, 215 E. Pinhook Road.
