What is SNAP?

Supplemental Food Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, is the cornerstone of the federal food safety net, providing supplemental food benefits to those in need, half of whom are children. To learn more you can go to the USDA’s website or the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services’ website.
