RESPONDING TO HURRICANE IDA

Hurricane Ida has caused widespread devastation across the Southeastern Louisiana coast, leaving thousands of families impacted and increase an unprecedented need. Recognizing the long recovery ahead, Second Harvest Food Bank is dedicated to providing food, water, and essential supplies to families affected by Hurricane Ida. Our mission is to ensure we are always here for the community before, during, and after any crisis.

Our thanks to everyone who has contributed to our many recent responses to emergencies and disasters across South Louisiana. We continue to remain prepared to respond to disasters year-round, as well as to the everyday disaster of hunger in South Louisiana.

NEED ASSISTANCE?

If you or someone you know needs food assistance, please contact our partners with 232-HELP (Lafayette) or 211 (all other locations). They will help direct you to disaster assistance in your community.  Additionally, you can call the Food Bank at 504-734-1322 to be directed to an open agency near you.
