Corporate Volunteerism
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. In the last year, Second Harvest volunteers filled 16,500 shifts, totaling 53,000 hours of donated service. That’s the equivalent of 25 full-time staff positions.
We welcome groups of all sizes to volunteer for shifts at our Harahan warehouse from Tuesday to Saturday, sorting and packing food, preparing meals in our Community Kitchen, lending a hand during special events, and so much more. We also welcome corporate groups to volunteer for shifts at our Harahan and Lafayette warehouses.
