Hunters for the Hungry

Throughout the hunting season, hunters are encouraged to donate a deer through the Hunters 4 the Hungry (H4H) and Hunters & Farmers Feeding the Hungry (HFHF) programs located in southern Louisiana. The deer are processed at no cost to the hunter if brought to a H4H/HFHF designated processor.

The processors then contact Second Harvest Food Bank to arrange a pickup. The donation often remains in the processor’s own community.

Hunters for the Hungry website is www.hunters4thehungrylouisiana.org. The site lists the processors who participate in the Hunters for the Hungry program. The organization hopes to continue to add processors in the coming years so that all areas of the state of Louisiana are covered.
