When you give to Second Harvest Food Bank, you do more than provide a bag of groceries — you give hope, dignity, and lifesaving support to neighbors like Glen.

Glen is a senior who has been battling cancer for several years. His treatment and medication are expensive, leaving little room in his budget for food. Like many in our community, he has faced the impossible choice between paying for medicine or putting food on the table. Thanks to the generosity of friends like you, Glen has not had to make that choice.

Over three years ago, Glen and his sister first turned to Second Harvest while they were both struggling with serious health problems, and the food they received helped them through some of the most difficult times of their lives. Sadly, Glen’s sister passed away last year, but Glen continues to visit Second Harvest.

Each time, he leaves with the groceries that allow him to keep his strength and focus on his health.

“Second Harvest makes it possible for me to keep going,” Glen shares. “I don’t know what I would do without it.”

Your support makes stories of perseverance possible. Because of you, seniors like Glen don’t have to choose between food and medicine. Because of you, our neighbors in need have one less worry as they face life’s hardest challenges.
