Summer volunteers needed at Second Harvest!
Every summer, Second Harvest Food Bank’s Community Kitchen provides thousands of nutritious meals to local children across our 23-parish service area. This vital program is only possible thanks to the our outstanding volunteers!
Now, we’re asking for your help to volunteer with us this summer to help provide these vital summer meals. Many of these children may not see a healthy meal all summer if it were not for this program.
How to help: Volunteer in our COMMUNITY KITCHEN this summer! Volunteers are needed to work with Second Harvest staff to assist with meal plating and packaging.
Adult and youth volunteers 15 years or older are welcome to volunteer in the kitchen. This is a great opportunity for students to earn service hours! Groups are welcome, and students can receive DOUBLE service hours for the early-morning shift!
